Version:           1.2.0 (using KDE 4.4.4) 
OS:                Linux

if using the  capture button in digikam to capture a new image 
with a cannon eos20d    the dialog box appears  with the option button to capture
but the camera will start to take shots  untill the capture button is pressed 
althugh it only captures one of the images its not good that it is opperating in this way

Steps to Reproduce:
installed on 2 machines here same problem with both 
install from latest opensuse 11.3 with latest rpm updates

I don't have a Canon camera to test this feature. And Capture mode only work with a reduce list of camera type supported by GPhoto2 library.

So, can you give us more details. Take screenshot to explain better. Thanks in advance

seems this part is down to libgphoto2 support for the cannon eos20d in (normal mode) beeing experimental

I checked camera direct capture interface with 2.5.0. Camera is a Canon EOS 500D, and all work fine here...
