Description iferca 2010-09-27 20:53:16 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

I'v changed the spelling settings in System Settings/Locale and Kmail's composer is never aware of it, it is always as English. I have my system language set to english, but my spelling to spanish, since I write spanish almost always.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Set your KDE locale configuration to English, set the spelling settings to Spanish, open Kmail and compose a new message. Check the composer spelling settings, they will be in english.

Actual Results:
the composer is set to spell check english by default

Expected Results:
I expect that kmail composer respect my system wide spelling check settings

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-24-generic
Compiler: cc

valid in kmail2 although I'm not sure that's really a bug.

The KMail spell checker settings are independent of the system ones

It's a not a bug.
We use a specific spellchecking config in composer.
So you must change it in kmail not in systemsettings.
Regards.
