Description Christopher Yeleighton 2010-09-27 17:49:46 UTC
Version: 4.4.5 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

When a reminder for a task appears while the task is being modified in the Task Editor window and the operator chooses to edit the reminder, the task gets reverted to old values.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
Define a task with a close reminder in Kontact, KOrganizer. Save the task.

2.
Edit the task in Kontact, KOrganizer.

3.
Change the date of the task without applying changes.

4.
With the Task Editor window open, wait for the reminder to appear.

5.
Tell the reminder to edit the task.

Actual Results:
5.
The Task Editor window comes to front with old values (all changes are lost).

Expected Results:
5.
The Task Editor window should just come to front.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.7-0.3-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Workaround: do not tell the reminder to edit the task :-)

Christopher,
how about this one? does it still happen in KDE 4.11?
Comment 3 Christopher Yeleighton 2013-12-31 12:13:10 UTC
The behavior changed: I have two independent windows open for editing the same reminder now. I wonder whether it should be like this but it is not an obvious bug.
