Description ultr 2010-09-26 15:15:20 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

Escape key should break search instead of closing the window.
It should do nothing when there is no active search.

Current behavior can easily cause you lose your results by mistake.

Reproducible: Always

and ctrl-w should close the window,
ctrl-q should exit kfind
(which is probably the same)

Comment 3 Peter Häring 2018-11-12 12:53:34 UTC
Behaviour is unchanged.

Still:
<ESC> closes the window
<CTRL>-q and <CTRL>-w do not trigger any action.

I can confirm this bug in the latest KFind (v24.04.70). From a usability perspective I think this is not critical but definitely not ideal either.
Maybe I am wrong though and this has been the intended behaviour?
