Description simonk 2010-09-25 18:23:01 UTC
Application that crashed: digikam
Version of the application: 1.4.0
KDE Version: 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5) "release 0"
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE 11.2 (x86_64)"

What I was doing when the application crashed:
After upgrade from 1.1.0 to 1.4.0 digikam consistantly crashed immediately after launch.

Install of latest version of kipi-plugins shown (1.3.0) seems to fix (as per duplicate report)

Then, please, install the relevant dependencies, as you already suggest. This is a binary incompatbility problem.
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2010-09-25 20:00:35 UTC
Shouldn't binary incompatible changes marked with an .so version bump?
