Description kaouete 2010-09-25 14:00:45 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

Hello,

To save space in my mailbox stored in IMAP, I delete the attachment of some messages.
The thing is that each time I delete one, kmail seems to download it.

I don't see no reason for that, but maybe this is a limitation of IMAP?

Thank you :)

Note: I put that it bugs because it is really annoying and not normal in my opinion, but feel free to re-class it in wish!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
delete a message attachment in IMAP

Actual Results:
attachment downloaded THEN deleted

Expected Results:
attachment just downloaded

After you delete an attachment, it should be gone, not downloaded.

Sorry, I made a mistake when writing the bug report :)

After deleting, it is indeed deleted of course!!

Expected results should thus be:
attachment just deleted

Sorry for that, and thank you.

sounds like this is a dupe of Bug 159808

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
