Description Mike Frysinger 2010-09-22 00:17:47 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.6)
OS: Linux

i have some IMAP accounts that i sometimes drop e-mails into from my local mbox folders. but unless ive already manually clicked on one of the folders of the IMAP account in question and waited for kmail to connect, the move from local mbox to the IMAP never finishes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- start kmail fresh (no existing background IMAP connections/etc...)
- start in local folders only
- click and drag a message from a local folder to an IMAP folder
- tell it to move

Actual Results:
- the message in the message list is greyed out like it's about to move,
- the status tray in the bottom right says it is moving the message
- it stays this way indefinitely

Expected Results:
the message actually moves

if i first click on an IMAP folder, wait for the connection to be established and refresh the messages list, then the message move from the local mbox to the remote IMAP folder works fine.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
