Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux Its not a bug, but i tried in debian sid the new version of krusader taht comes with kde 4.5, and I honestly must tell you, that clicking twice now (instead of once before "overwrite all", is a bad idea! Example I use crusader to manage my multimediafiles and my Photos on my server. If I want to add more files to a existing strukture, I have to write in some existing directories (click twice (applay all, write into directory) and then again click twice when I need to overwrite files (apply all - overwrite) Honestly this ist nonsense... moving files for half an afternoon, my finger hurts, because i clicked two times more! If you really like this option, could you please make it configurable in the settings? (old dialog - new dialog) Thanks for your time!!! Reproducible: Always OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-4.slh.15-aptosid-amd64 Compiler: cc
The dialog belongs to KDE, not Krusader itself - I'm reassigning product to kde - but I guess it's still WONTFIX
Thanks for answering. What Do you mean by "reassigning product to kde" - Did you report it to kde? Its really a pitty. I haven't checked KDE 4.6, since it hasn't arrived to Debian yet. I really hope that this is redone...
(In reply to marder from comment #2) > Thanks for answering. > What Do you mean by "reassigning product to kde" - Did you report it to kde? > The overwrite rename dialog is part of Kio project in the KDE Frameworks which is the KDE community maintained framework, while Krusader is an app with its own maintainers. > Its really a pitty. This changes was intentional : overwriting all is a potentially dangerous feature so better be sure about this, and the UI was too cluttered, adding a check allow to replace two buttons by one checkbox. The checkbox is very close to the button which makes it easy to click both rapidly.
