Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux It would be nice to be able to select a default activity that starts with login in the activities panel itself. Presently (KDE 4.5.1) it only starts the last used activity when we log back in, which is not the best way of using activities. For example we have activities Home, Work, Games, Movies for one user and the user turns off after working in activity Movies(may be watfching a movie), the next time the system logs him in the movies activity starts with the session which is absurd, the user should have a choice to opt for any of the created activities for example Home in this case to be the default at startup. Personally I like that KDE remembers my last used activity because I can continue to do what I was doing on the previous session.
I think this would be a really good optional thing. One could make it like the current session management: Choose between - start last used activity - always start with activity XXX - offer a selection which activity to start
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
