I plug and unplug a device, plasma, knotify and krunner crash with similar backtraces.
This happens every time I unplug (not when I plug in). plasma-desktop backtrace attached.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

If this helps,
I found out that this happens only for storage devices like Hard Disks and Flash Drives. However, it crashes even when my "charging-mode-only" (so no Mass Storage) N900 is plugged out.
No crash with USB CDMA Modem, Keyboard/Mouse RF receiver.

My system also krash when use usb to connect my android phone, card reader etc.
When I plug and unplug a device, plasma, knotify and krunner crash.

I have several krash-reports if they are needed.

I can reproduce this with a usb flash drive and a UMTS modem

I just tried this again with trunk after r1180269 and r1180271 (dfaure's QObject fixes) blind, no improvement.

I can reproduce it when k3b, after writing a DVD, ejects the DVD, and then (something that I do not like) is automatically inserted again.

Re comment #9: strange thing is that most of the possible duplicates only happen in the HAL backend...
