the offending toolbar

Version: 1.4.0
OS: Linux

When viewing an image in an album, it is partially covered by a toolbar with buttons to navigate to prev/next image, go to thumbnail view and rotate the image.

Could we please loose this? or at least make it optional or (auto-)hidable? It hides parts of the image and provides nothing.

The navigation buttons are already in the statusbar (sic!). The other buttons could be better placed in the application toolbar, but IMHO at least the rotate buttons are not so frequently used that it justifies them being visible by default (hey, modern cameras knows the image orientation already).

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
click an image in an album to view it

Actual Results:
image is partially covered by a toolbar

Expected Results:
image preview fully visible

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

With digiKam 2.x, Andi has add a new option to disable tool over preview canvas.

Look into Album View configuration panel
