Description menschmeier 2010-09-18 16:59:11 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

I recognized today that kmail doesn't know addresses I added to my addressbook recently. Not when I typing it in the addressfield - by autocompletion nor by clicking the "select" button on the right side of the adress field. With both ways the receiver resp. his email address isn't shown. Autocompletion works for other email addresses but not for the new one. "Select Recipient" dialog shows all addresses but not the new on.

I don't know which part is responsible therefore. kontact, akonadi, ...???

I don't know how to give more details about this bug.

I restarted kontact and akonadi. This didn't help.

Let me know how I can provide more informations about this problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. adding a new address to kontact's addressbook
2. writing an new email
3a. typing in the first letters of email-address or name of receiver
3b. clicking on the address "select" button an try to find the new email adress
4. email address can not be found in both ways (3a and 3b)

Actual Results:
email address resp email receiver is not displayed and so can not be selected

Expected Results:
email address is showed during typing in address field or can be selected in the "Select Recipient" dialog.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35.4
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc

I see exactly the same bug here.

To reproduce:
1. right click on an emailaddress to add it the addressbook
2. create new mail and try to autocomplete it with the name of the entry just added to the addressbook

=> Entry is not shown, but should appear under "Ressources"

Additional info:
o "Recent entries" works
o Showing entry in kaddressbook works
o Sometimes my addressbook is not shown in the dialgue for adding an entry.

I can confirm this with KDEPIM 4.6 beta5
