1. Edit current Yakuake profile 2. Choose Appearance -> Font... 3. In the available font list, Nimbus Mono L is not listed, even if it's installed by default on many distros. 4. In ~/fonts.conf, assign Nimbus Mono L as the first priority of Monospace 5. Back to edit Yakuake font 6. Choose Monospace, and Nimbus Mono L would be used, but no matter the variety is Regular, Oblique, Bold or Bold Oblique, it's always the Oblique variety being used.

Reassigning to Konsole as the terminal is not rendered by Yakuake.
Yes, definitely right...Thanks for reassigning!
Hello... anyone noticed this bug? What do you think? Unconfirmed? Invalid? I don't know why this is happening...
If that font is not listed, I guess that means Qt does not believe it is really a monospace font. See #229400 and #275270
Created attachment 62919 [details] Nimbus Mono L font rendered in konsole Another way of forcing konsole to use Nimbus Mono L is edit ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole/xxx.profile manually, and replace the font line with following line: Font=Nimbus Mono L,13,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 And in my test, the oblique problem does not exist.
@Jekyll Wu: Worth trying, thanks!
(In reply to comment #4) > Hello... anyone noticed this bug? What do you think? Unconfirmed? Invalid? I don't know why this is happening... Roberto, this report actually contains two problems: 1). the font is not listed. That would be a duplication of #229400 2). the font is always rendered in the oblique style, which unfortunately can not be reproduced (by me). So I will close it. Feel free to reopen if you have different idea. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 229400 ***
