Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux First of all, I must say 4.5 really made me use activities, great work! Currently it does not seem to be possible to sort the activities in the activity bar (toolbox -> activities). I have some activities related to personal projects, others are study related and finally I have some work related activities. I would like to be able to group these logically, but currently there is no UI to change the ordering of the activities. Personally I more or less expected to be able to drag-and-drop the items in the activity bar to change their order. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add/create several activities 2. Try to sort them in the activity bar, by dragging them Actual Results: Dragging activities is not possible. Expected Results: When dragging an activity should I use Arch linux (x86_64), with the "regular" kde (not kdemod).
yes, this is likely to happen. it's just a matter of someone finding time to do the work. :) *hopefully* for 4.7?

Created attachment 87480 [details] kactivitymanagerd ListActivities sorts by key I did a very crude hack to have some form of sorting. It sorts by UID of the activities. I don't think it's very usable. But at least it's not the arbitrary QHash sort order anymore. I guess sorting by name of the activity would be a somewhat more usable hack. I'll look into that to have at least something...
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
