libimobiledevice is a library dedicated to iPhone. It can do all that can be done using iTunes and more. (http://www.libimobiledevice.org/)

On gnome side, some conduit modules are under development to provide calendar / contacts / notes / bookmarks syncing.

An awesome feature would be to have the same for akonadi.

Steps to Reproduce:
N/A

Actual Results:  
No akonadi resource able to sync iPhones/iPods PIM data.

Expected Results:  
being able to sync iPhone PIM data with akonadi

Gnome conduit connectors source code available on http://www.libimobiledevice.org/

This lib is not a hack. Id doesn't requires a jailbroken iPhone/iPod touch. It is aimed to talk to normal  iPhones/iPods touch.
Having this modules in akonadi would greatly improve akonadi user base ;-)

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Akonadi 25.12.0
