Description lnason 2001-05-03 18:17:51 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: KDE 2.1.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Initially after logging on to Linux (Mandrake 8.0) and running KMail (2.1.1) everything works fine and the get mail (automatically checks every minute) will go and get my email.
However after some time (sorry not sure how long) it actually stops checking for new mail (I know I have it by using web interface to check for it).
Even if I click on the check mail icon (or Ctrl+L) it does not go and check.
Closing and opening KMail has no effect - it still won't check.
I am using
Qt: 2.3.0
KDE: 2.1.1
KMail: 1.2
If you need any more information then let me know.
Laurie

Could it be that there is still a cancel button in the status bar from the
last mail checking attempt?

speaking about this cancel-button it strikes me as a bit unusual (a button
in a statusbar??). Why not use a Stop-Button like in Konqueror?
