Version: 2.0 beta1 (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux After I upgraded to KMail2, the client simply haven't downloaded a simple letter from my inbox to the present day. In GMail I have 50+ new mails but in KMail2 the latest one is still from two or three days ago when I migrated to the new client. I did not touch any configuration files and in KMail 1 I set it check for new mails in every 3 minutes. Reproducible: Always OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.4-0.1-desktop Compiler: gcc
I've got the same issue under kubuntu using kdepim 4.5 beta. But I guess it's more an akonadi problem than kmail one. I've used the migration assistant to setup several imap resources in kmail. The problem occurs (at the moment) just with one (arcor.de). In this account the folders are not synchronized anymore. This means that new mails are not shown in the inbox and sent mails are just locally shown in the sent folder. If I select a message in this account I see about 30 to 60 seconds the screen which says that the message is loading. In this time akonadi produces this output to the terminal: [akonadiserver] posting retrieval request for item 9749 there are 1 queues and 0 items in mine [akonadiserver] checking if request for item 9749 has been processed... This problem is very serious for me, because I could not check mail in this account using kmail. And I do not trust it at the other accounts.
Since in the previous three weeks there was no activity on this bug at all (on the part of the developers), I'm switching back to the stable KMail installation. I hoped this bug is at least high priority because the whole program is unusable as it doesn't download e-mails, and that's why I had to use other clients. I didn't downgrade to able to answer your questions. I'll upgrade to 2.0 as soon as you consider it stable, not earlier.
Hej, works fine here. Ciao, Tobias
Yes, I can confirm. This bug got fixed in the meantime.
