Version: 2.0 beta1 (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux I've just upgraded to KMail 2 and the upgrade wizard said there were no errors. Although, I don't see my previously sent mails in KMail Folders/sent-mail. It's simply empty. Other folders seem to be ok. In ~/.kde4/share/apps/kmail/mail/sent-mail/cur there are a lot of files. To the command line KMail constantly writes these lines: "/usr/bin/kmail(17294)" Soprano: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukstorage was not provided by any .service files" "/usr/bin/kmail(17294)" Soprano: "QLocalSocket::connectToServer: Invalid name" Reproducible: Didn't try OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.4-0.1-desktop Compiler: gcc
Same Problem here. import of all folders is fine - only sent-mail is missing. My sent-mail folder (/home/me/Mail/sent-mail/*) is definitely not empty (about 1.6GB of mails in there). The folder is very old and contains mails that I imported to KMail years ago from outlook and thunderbird. This is a blocker as I really need my previously sent-mails. Please fix! Thx!
My version: KMail 2.0.89, KDE Version 4.5.85 (4.6 Beta2) - running OpenSuse
I erased all of the Akonadi directories, kmail2(-migration) configurations etc. After this I could re-start the migration process but I can still reproduce this bug. I have no sent-mails migrated at all. Qt: 4.7.3 KDE Development Platform: 4.6.95 (4.7 RC2) "release 1" KMail: 2.1.96 Akonadi 1.6.0
Here is the manual workaround for this grave bug: - In KMail 1.13 right click on the Local Folders > sent mail folder and select "archive folder" - Select the best method you want (.tar is fast, .bz2 compresses good) to save the file - Upgrade to KDEPIM 4.7 and try to migrate… - After you successfully started KMail, select File > Import messages > Import KMail archive file > select the "Local folders" text (and not the "sent-mail" label!) > Next It will take a while, especially when you have a large inbox. I hope I could help.
This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
