Description Hugo Palma 2010-09-15 16:08:19 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

It would be great if i could start a slideshow from a top directory and gwenview would recursively create the slideshow with all images from the selected directory and down.

Reproducible: Always

That sounds like a reasonable thing to have. This came up in https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=213&t=142327 recently, too.

Note there's also bug 209655 which concerns the same thing for the Browse mode. Having both would be consistent, on the other hand I could imagine cases where having it in the Slideshow but not in Browse mode would be preferable.

Actually, this is a very useful feature for reviewing images.
The feature could be similar to what desktop wallpaper slideshow does, by making a list with all the images in all the directories below a root directory and showing them one by one. Currently, Gwenview enters in full screen mode at such attempt...
Also this would be useful in view mode too, when the images in a directory are displayed one by one, why not recursively when switching the view mode?

I would love to see this feature added!
