Description Christopher Yeleighton 2010-09-15 10:26:51 UTC
Version:           1.2.0 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS:                Linux

The subject reference codes are controlled by a pop-up menu. The menu is long and unwieldy. It would be much more comfortable as a tree, or as three pop-up menus corresponding to tiers.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the XMP Metadata Editor.
2. Select the Subject Information pane.
3. Try to figure out the code for Christmas.

Actual Results:
3.
Unless you remember that it is 12014001, or have another more user-friendly reference GUI, the task is lengthy and tedious.

Expected Results:
3.
One of:
* A taxonomy tree view.
* Three pop-up menus for Subject Matter and Detail.
* Helper buttons "Next/Previous Subject" and "Next/Previous Matter".

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34-12-desktop
Compiler: gcc
