Description Thomas Janssen 2010-09-13 14:47:19 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

encrypted channels show up the icon for unencrypted channels, while they should show a icon with a red lock.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open kaffeine and have encrypted channels in your channel list.

Actual Results:
No icon with a red lock (or hwatever color you guys prefer).

Expected Results:
Encrypted channels have a icon with a red lock on it.

attention. the problem isn't about icons, but about the detection of scrambled channels (cross-check: right-clicking on the channels and selecting edit will show the channel editor where the check box "scrambled" most likely isn't checked).

finding out whether a particular channel is scrambled or not depends on meta-information from the broadcaster (EN300468 / SDT) which might or might not be correct ...

I invited the original bugreporter (downstream) to join us here. Yet no reaction from him.

This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc.

You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it. You can find it at our git repository:

https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kaffeine.git

If you find similar issues with version 2.0.1, please re-open.
