Description Sergei Andreev 2010-09-11 21:07:51 UTC
Version: 0.10.4 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: MS Windows

Can not assign Okular as a default pdf or djvu reader.
Okular just does not appear in application list of "Open with..." menu.

I have to launch Okular first and than grab file to it.

Reproducible: Always

OS: WindowsNT (i686) release Windows 7
Compiler: cl.exe

By default Okular does not show in the 'open with'-dialog.

You can choose 'set default program' -> browse -> go to your KDE installation folder -> select 'okular.exe.

I do not know if you have tried this. But I have been using Okular as my default PDF-reader on Windows 7 for about a year now.

Well, I did this several times for Okular but without success, though this method worked for other KDE applications - Gwenview, Okteta, KolourPaint

One other thing that is then possible is a missing KDE file association.

Could you look in KDE system settings -> file associations -> search for 'pdf'.
If Okular is not the top one in the 'Application Preference Order' please change it accordingly.

Well, Okular is a single entry in the list, so it's already on the top.

I've just checked "Open with..." menu list and now I have Okular option in it and Okular is now default pdf-viewer.

So, works for me.
