Description Ewald Müller 2010-09-09 23:55:15 UTC
Version: 2.0-git (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux

Even if i try, i can't leave the basket entry, that i've had encrypted, but forgotten the used password.
Any kill and new start couldn't get me out of that loop

Reproducible: Always

does nobody made the same experience?
basket is ***not usable*** anymore, when i hit -accidently- an encrypted sub-basket
I needed basket almost every day for note-taking of my activities; now it's unusable for weeks!
I can't leave the question-loop for the password, even if i cancel the request or change to another sub.basket

I have similar issues even with the correct password. I can create a new basket and encrypt it which results in dialogs asking me to enter and reenter the password (I used "12345" for testing). The basket locks.

I then click to unlock the basket, it asks for the password and the basket seems to be unlocked. However, any click or attempt to change any note within the encrypted basket results in a cascade of dialogs asking to enter and reenter the password, even though I am sure the password is correct. This essentially makes this feature unusable.

Hitting escape or cancel in the dialog produces an message box with the error
Title: Error - Basket Note Pads
Message: GPGME: Bad passphrase

I've turned off the option to automatically lock closed baskets, but this has
made no difference.

This is under openSUSE 11.4

basket-1.81-2.1.i586
pinentry-qt4-0.8.0-8.1.i586
KDE 4.6.00 (4.6.0) "release 6"

I'll be happy to provide any additional information that may be required.

Should be fixed in 2.11
Comment 7 Christoph Feck 2017-01-25 02:34:47 UTC
Marking as fixed. Please add a comment if you still get this issue with 2.11.
