OS:                Linux

attempting to format a floppy. The screen reads " internal error device not correctly defined.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
tried to rerun the program.

Actual Results:  
will not format disk


OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35-20-generic

This might be a "permission" problem. Please check the output of the following Konsole command:

    ls -l /dev/fd0*

still trying-more into-running maverick meerkat beta 2. I.m trying to flash my bios which is why I'm trying to use the floppy. So far no luck. Can't get into root. I'm new to linux so i'm pretty clueless here. It probably doesn't help that the machine in ancient.( originally had ME for the O/S
