Version: 1.2.0 (using KDE 4.4.2) OS: Linux Some of the pictures i download with the facebook plugin seem to be corrupted. I don't know whether this is digikam's or facebook's fault. After reading the content of the non working images i suspect this might be facebook's fault. Digikam doesn't provide any kind of error message/retry method to me though. Reproducible: Sometimes Content of the file: <HTML><HEAD> <TITLE>Gateway Timeout - In read </TITLE> </HEAD><BODY> <H1>Gateway Timeout</H1> The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server.<P> Reference #1.f76e9e5d.1283951705.22676d2d </BODY></HTML>
Hi Thomas, the error message you're getting is most likely generated by a proxy server between your digikam and Facebook. When the proxy server encounters a connection timeout it has no way to hand this timeout through to the client (digikam), so it generates this error message. We could in theory check after downloading images, whether the received file is indeed an image.
