which plasmoid are you using for the now playing feature?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=248932 may also be related
Hi, I think I didn't use any "play now" plasmoid, the plasmoid that crashed -if I remember correctly - was "analog clock".
Well it is fixed now in KDE4.6, thanks.
[Comment from a bug triager] Bug 267271 mentions this backtrace related with another amarok behaviour: bug 263642. Regards
*** Bug 267271 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I think it is resolved by upgrading to KDE4.6.1, isn't it?
Created attachment 59417 [details] New crash information added by DrKonqi plasma-netbook (0.1) on KDE Platform 4.5.5 (KDE 4.5.5) using Qt 4.7.0 - What I was doing when the application crashed: I was listening music, using Amarok - Unusual behavior I noticed: Losts of "file downloaded" notifications started appearing. I could not enter top menu of plazma-notebook with mouse then Crash message appeared. Without amarok running and playing songs, such error does not seem to happen. So it could be related. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #6 QString (this=0x7f00d4089060) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/tools/qstring.h:727 #7 QObject::objectName (this=0x7f00d4089060) at kernel/qobject.cpp:1088 #8 0x00007f010aa0f543 in Plasma::DataContainer::checkForUpdate (this=0x7f00d4089060) at ../../plasma/datacontainer.cpp:169 #9 0x00007f00e97aeb1d in PlayerContainer::updateInfo (this=0x7f00d4089060) at ../../../../../plasma/generic/dataengines/nowplaying/playercontainer.cpp:79 #10 0x00007f00e97aed70 in PlayerContainer::qt_metacall (this=0x7f00d4089060, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=<value optimized out>, _a=<value optimized out>) at ./playercontainer.moc:74
Can you please test against latest stable KDE SC release (currently with 4.7.3)? If the crash still occurs, please reopen this bug. I cannot reproduce it here with 4.8/master. Thanks :)
Closing for lack of feedback. Please feel free to reopen this report if you can still reproduce this with KDE 4.8.3 or later.
