Created attachment 51401 [details] Screenshot of the problem Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0) OS: Linux HTML parts of messages are displayed as HTML source code in incoming message notifications, i.e. link is displayed as "<a href="somelink">somename</a>" (see the screenshot). Reproducible: Always
Reproducible for 4.5.2.
What was the message sent to you in this screenshot before truncating?
Unfortunately I'm unable to restore it, because in history it's already in decoded (i.e. human-readable) form
Okay. But can you show at least human-readable part of this message?
Yes, it's just a message with 'Enters' inside: "<msg nick="gremlinner@jabber.ru" in="1" from="gremlinner@jabber.ru" time="4 0:26:17">апокалипсис отменяецо там просто дрова нвидии были поломанные))</msg>" But I also made some testing and it seems that such a problem takes place only for jabber protocol and not for any remote jabber client but presumably only for Pidgin.
Small additions: the bug reproduces when you're receiving the very first messages from the contact and the chat window isn't opened yet. So, to reproduce: 1. Start Kopete (exit it and start again if already running). 2. Login to certain service (ICQ, Jabber don't really matter). 3. Close roster window and ask some of your contact to send you text with newlines (or some link). 4. Mention the notify popup with some HTML tags like that on the screenshot. Click it and see that there's nothing of them in the message in chat window.
