Description arne anka 2010-09-07 15:09:09 UTC
Version: 4.4.5 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

i added a google calendar (ics) as "calendar in remote file".
that calendar is read-only, since i have no rights to add or change events in it.

nevertheless, it contains events important to me and i want to be notified of those events -- but there's no alarm or notification nor any obvious configuration to enable.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- add calendar from google (http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/.../basic.ics) containing events as "calendar in remote file"
- make it read-only
- wait for the vents to occur

Actual Results:
no alarm nor notification of the upcoming event

Expected Results:
at at least the default 15 minutes before the vent something should happen -- what ever the default action is (sounds disabled, but systray notification or so still available)

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-5-amd64
Compiler: cc

for me google calendar reminders work.
but please make sure to use the new Google Calendar and Tasks Akonadi resource.

if you still have problems using Google calendar with modern versions of KOrganizer (say KDE 4.10 or above) then please reopen accordingly.
