Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.5) OS: Linux mice with higher precision are unusable with kde4 as they cannot be slowed down. setting pointer acceleration to 1.0 on a 1000dpi mouse leaves the mouse still too fast and inaccurate to be of any use. values below 1.0 do not appear to make any difference. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: buy a good laser mouse, connect it and try to make it usable by decreasing Pointer Acceleration to e.g.: 0.1x and click Apply. Actual Results: no difference between 1.0x and 0.1x Expected Results: i was expecting the mouse to be slow and very precise
I think actually it does have an effect (tested). The way I interpret the settings is: "if movement per poll/some unit is faster than threshold, multiply movement by 1+'acceleration'". Retitle: request setting to reduce mouse pointer speed

Hello! This Bugzilla ticket concerns support for the non-Libinput version of the Mouse page, which is no longer supported in Plasma 6. As such, the ticket will be closed as fixing or implementing what's requested here is now out of scope. Thanks for your understanding!
