Description Bernhard E. Reiter 2010-08-31 09:41:16 UTC
N900 kdepim-mobile 4:4.5~20100827.1168757-1maemo1.1169941
libqt4-experimental-gui 4.7.0~git20100824-0maemo1

On tag 20100820-2 if you see an email, you can switch to the next
email by swipeing right to left or left to right. This does not work
anymore.

Works perfectly fine with the mobile apps on the desktop, both with and without WebKit, fails only on the N900.
Comment 2 Volker Krause 2010-09-01 10:25:30 UTC
Strangely enough this works perfectly fine again on the device this morning, with the latest updates. I'm not aware of anything related we changed, but there has been a Qt update.

I tested this today and I could not swipe to the next email either.

Too bad, it seems like a very handy feature that I did not know was implemented ;o)
Can't wait for it to work again!

Works for me on 4:4.5~20100902.1170752-1maemo1.1170522 . Also did not know of that feature (i tested with previous releases though and it did not work).

The feature itself could be improved (hint that its possible, animation, some sort of orientation (e.g. "<- mail 5 / 100 ->" ... etc).

Also lowered this issues severity.
Comment 6 Sabine Faure 2010-09-03 00:45:07 UTC
I retested this today and it works fine now!!! ;o)

This is a very handy feature but I agree with Felix that it is not easy for the user to know that it exists.

In version 4:4.6~20101025.1189387-1maemo1.1188357 , it stops working after a couple of swipes.
Comment 8 Felix Wolfsteller 2010-10-25 13:20:14 UTC
Gone after an update and restart.
Comment 9 Ludwig Reiter 2010-10-26 11:21:21 UTC
In version 4:4.6~20101025.1189387-1maemo1.1188357 it works.
Felix, how many swipes did you need to stop it working?
Comment 10 Sabine Faure 2010-10-27 14:36:45 UTC
I retested this today and it still works fine for me.

I tested swiping between 5 messages wiping backward and forward several times and then swiping backward and forward randomly between the 5 messages.

I had some other issues with that version as well, probably it was connected.
I could swipe only "a couple of times" (maybe 1-8x) and reproduce the behaviour, but not always after X swipings.

As two separate sources gave a "works for me" in a newer version, I close this issue.
