Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0) OS: Linux In KDE 4.5.0 I cannot see the new notifications that pop-up in system tray when I'm using a fullscreen program, eg. when I'm watching a movie in vlc. I' ve asked at KDE forums and some people said it might be a new feature of KDE 4.5.0 and not a bug. My request is that an opition is put in System Settings -> Notifications that will allow us to choose whether we want notifications to be shown over fullscreen programs or not. Reproducible: Always
Not resolved in KDE 4.5.1
I would also like to see this feature added.
I would appreciate this feature as well. What bothers me most is that the notifications are not hidden completely but shown "under" the fullscreen layer (in my case smplayer video) and cause several video problems (tearing, flickering, fps dropdown etc...)
I agree with Tobiáš Potoček! I would also like this feature to be added, as I'm constantly missing important notifications (for example, that huge file transfer that I started two hours ago is finally finished and I can get back to work). Thanks for everything ;)
+1
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
