Version: 1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux I have recently discovered that the kmail message panel has a zoom feature, <ctrl> <scroll_mouse_wheel>. It is good, but it changes suddenly. Whenever I select a different message to look at the zoom returns to standard size, that is good. There are a couple of ways that the zoom factor could be remembered; such as keeping the zoom factor unchanged across all messages until it is changed again (or kmail is restarted), doing the same thing on a per message basis, or continually reverting to 1:1 size. The problem is that it falls between these behaviours. When I adjust the zoom it is remembered, but not used when a different message is looked at. Adjusting the zoom on a new message adjusts it from where it used to be, not from where it is. I find this visually odd. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Zoom in on a message, view the next message and come back to the original message. It is displayed at 1:1 size. Touching the <ctrl><scroll_wheel> makes the zoom jump suddenly to close to (but not the same as) what it used to be. It is a mater of opinion about what the "correct" behavior is in this situation, but I find the current behavior odd. Actual Results: Zoom jump suddenly. Expected Results: Zoom should be smooth. (Preferably from the old value.) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33.5-desktop-2mnb Compiler: gcc
the behaviour with kmail2: the scale is remembered when you select another message and is reset to 1:1 when restarting kmail.
