a texturing brush would be very useful for 3d artists. it's similar to the clone brush, but it takes the data from a texture file and repeats at the border.

It is somewhat in the plan for the brush op, it should be implemented as a color source. The main part of the work would be to integrate in the UI.

Ha! I'm nearly done with this one (it's in fact already sort of usable). Though I didn't make it a color source -- that turned out to be a bit of a red herring, even though it's what Deevad wrote down in his proposal.
