Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2010-08-27 04:15:51 UTC
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux

I've set the widget dashboard (the darkened screen with plasmoids) to use the same set of widgets as the actual desktop.
I created a sticky note.
When I change the color of the note (doesn't matter whether via context menu or settings window) from the dashboard, the color on the dashboard will stay, the color on the desktop will be changed.
If you change the note's color from desktop, both colors are changed.

You can move the note around and change its content, open and close the dashboard, but if you changed the color from dashboard, the note on the dashboard will have the old color and only the note on the desktop the new one, even though they are (seem to be) the same widget.

Reproducible: Always

I was able to reproduce this bug.

My bug 254325 is likely a duplicate where I note that this also froze my analog clock widget (while other widgets such as CPU monitor continued to update cyclically).

In kde 4.7.3 I can reproduce partially: I never can change the color of the note on the dashboard. If i change the color, from the desktop OR the dashboard, in any case it only changes the color of the note on the desktop.

Well plasma just crashed and now i'm reproducing the problem exactly as initially described in this report.
