Version: 2.3.1.90 (using KDE 4.5.0) OS: Linux I use Mandriva 2010.1 with KDE SC updated to 4.5.0. After install Amarok 2.3.2 Beta 1 it don't shows the album covers when I use context menu on a playlist/library/etc. Instead it shows the small window approximately 10x10 pixels. Also widget "Now Rocking" (http://opendesktop.org/content/show.php?content=106304) don't show the cover too. However in is shown in any other places playlist/OSD/etc. And one interesting thing: last added to collection album covers can be shown and is visible in "Now Rocking" widget. Reproducible: Didn't try
Well, the "Now Rocking" script is 3rd-party software, you should report this to it's author in the above mentioned location. As for the context menu option Album -> Display Cover, it shows covers in their correct size for me, using Amarok 2.3.1-git, which is ahead of the version you use. I guess that is what you are talking about?
Yes, Album -> Display Cover shows small window with no cover in it. "Now Rocking" shows the cover when Amarok shows it too, so I mentioned this widget because it may help. I found that Amarok may not show the covers even for newly added files. This also can re reproduced on my second system Mandriva 2010.1 with KDE 4.4.3 Qt 4.6.2. My version of Amarok is 2.3.2 Beta 1 builded from sources. When I remove this version and install from rpms 2.3.1 all covers have disappeared from collection. After collection rescan all covers appeared and can be viewed. Also I found, that version 2.3.2 in the library view when expanding artist entry, draws covers faster than 2.3.1
Thank you for your feedback.
Seems like it is fixed in 2.3.2
