Description Kamil Kamiński 2010-08-24 19:52:53 UTC
Version: 4.5 (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

It is not possible to control kinfocenter's device browser using keyboard. Cannot select any node (for example processor 0) with enter or space. Only mouse selection is working.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
It should be possible to select device node using keyboard only. It is easier to browse that way.

KDE 4.5.0 installed from Gentoo "kde" overlay.

Try Tab, arrow keys

I do not have problem with selecting Device's browser node (like Processor 0 or Generic AC Adapter Device), the problem is that after highlighting it with keyboard, right panel does not load information I expect. I have to click with mouse on that (highlighted) node to see processor name or AC adapter state.

You need to press enter to select the module. Browsing through without selecting is not an option as some modules may need to gather information. As such the choose and select option is best.

Opps, I loose at reading bug reports. I though this was a KInfocenter bug, its a device viewer bug.

Yes, your very correct. I use the clicked signal and not the activated signal for selection. Its a one line fix and I shall fix it tommorrow.

Sorry for the confusion.
