Description H.H. 2010-08-23 15:04:50 UTC
Version: 1.13.5
OS: Linux

I am very annoyed when I drag a file (image/pdf/..) to the composer window, and think I attached it ,but somewhere on the screen, there is this little context-menu, how to attach it (text or attachment). Really, who wants to paste such a file as text such as "file://myhome/myfile.txt"???? And even if someone likes to do so, he can choose it from the edit-menu.

Or when I paste with "ctrl+v" some text in the editor. who wants to paste that as attachment?

please let kmail be intelligent about that, or at least introduce an option to let kmail choose automatically the way it pastes things. it worked good in previous kmail versions.

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34-12-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Works as expected in Kmail2, dragging a pdf from dolphin to the composer window attaches the file
