I tried installing FFMPEG, LAME, TwoLAME, LMMS, SynfigStudio, VLC, etc., and KPackageKit won't work. It crashes when I type in my root password. I am hoping this is not an issue recurrent throughout different versions. This is the second time I installed KDE Fedora to my Acer Extensa 4420 laptop computer (made in Taiwan in 2007, I believe). The first time everything worked near perfect. Now everything else is working fine save for KPackageKit. Please fix, thanks!

The crash can be reproduced every time.
