If the user selects a holiday region in Settings -> Time and Date -> Regional -> Holydays, and enables "Exclude holidays" in "Working Period", KOrganizer becomes terribly slow, taking around two seconds to change from one day to the other. It is also slow to resize the window while the agenda view is displayed.

Disabling "Exclude holidays" or setting the holiday region to "(none)" returns KOrganizer to the usual speed, browsing through dates almost instantly.

This seems to have started since KDE upgrade to 4.5.0 and KDEPIM upgrade to 4.4.5.
