Version:           unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0) 
OS:                Linux

The program always starts in English. $LANG is set to de_DE.UTF-8, KDE's language is set to German. Event trying to start the program from the command line with option "--lang de" does not help.

Where did you install it from? 
That's usually a distro packaging problem, because the SVN code does not have the translation files. Those are in a different place, and they are put together at the moment of release.
