Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0) OS: Linux After importing gnucash data, kmymoney asks me to set the base currency. When setting it to EUR, the program crashes. If I leave USD as base currency, the program keeps running. If I try to set EURO later, the program still crashes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: see above OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-24-generic Compiler: cc
Please provide a backtrace of the crash. You can read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports to see how to provide one
Either a backtrace or an anonymous file, because I tried changing the base currency to a test file and it works here, so we need more info to fix this.
How do I create a backtrace? The KDE crash manager tells me there are too little information. Alternatively, do I enable debug symbols . I meanwhile was able to build kmymoney 4.5 from the sources following the instructions in http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/der-kde-4-sammelthread/473/#post-2595710 Regards, Christian Am Samstag, 21. Does the crash still happen in 4.5? To get a backtrace, start from a terminal, and paste the output here, or copy the output offered by drKonqi if it popups when KMyMoney crashes.
I was able to solve the problem: I had one account with the currency ADF (Andorran Franc). After deleting the account, the crash disappears.
