Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.5) OS: Linux The group-lists dont work since KDE 4.2 The old list create an message: "Contact does not exist anymore" but if you downgrade the list works fine. If I create an new list: the adresses are not saved. So cann't use the groups in kmail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: create a group - close kontact - reopen it - try to edit the group or try to use the gruop in kmail Actual Results: mistake-massage Expected Results: kmail sending the mail to the group-members
Hej Norbert, these issues have been fixed in 4.5 now (note that you'll need KDE-PIM 4.5 as well which is not shipped in official packages yet). Ciao, Tobias
Hej Thomas, thank you very much for your fast reaktion. I have updated my test-system 11.3/KDE4.5 imidatuiliy after comming home from holiday. But it still doesnot work. I think I will check it again in a few days and hope that the build-service will do the update soon. ;-) Thank you und ciao Norbert Am Donnerstag, 2. Hi, Tobias, now I can create list again (only in aconadi , not in standard-addressbook std.vcf), but if Itry to insert the list in kmail , i get the following mistake-message: Das Versenden ist fehlgeschlagen: Mailversand fehlgeschlagen, da die folgende Empfängeradresse vom Server abgelehnt wurde: test2@linux-0prz (Meldung des Servers: 5.1.2 Cannot resolve your domain {mp054}) Die Nachricht verbleibt im Postausgang, bis Sie entweder das Problem beseitigt haben (z. B. falsche Adresse) oder die Nachricht aus dem Postausgang entfernen. Der folgende Versandweg wurde benutzt: gmx So the list does only half the work! ;) :-( Must I now creat a new bug-report? Hej Norbert, you can store distribution lists only in the 'Personal Contacts' resource. I can just encourage you to use this resource for storing your contacts. Since it will keep each contact in its own file, it's much faster when changing contacts. To the problem with the not-working distribution lists. I don't know what's wrong with your setup, I can just assure you, that resolving distribution lists to email addresses works fine here with the 4.5 applications. What happens when you enter a group name into the 'To:' field and then choose 'Send Later'? Is the To field resolved correctly to the group members when viewing the pending message in the outbox folder? Is there any error message shown on the console? Does Nepomuk report any errors? Ciao, Tobias
Hi Tobias, ok I have had changed my List to 'Personal Contacts' for this tests. Well I neither what is wrong here. I have : openSuse 11.3 _x64 (updated from 11.2_x64) Plattform-Version 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1) (copied from kmail) Nepomuk does NOT run - this was told to me the keep the system running fast. I have created a complete new user test. But there are the same results. I create a list called 'test2' - that works fine now. But if I enter this group name into the To: field it will NOT be resolved. If I view the message in the outbox-folder, the address is shown as: test2@linux-0prz As far as I remember 'linux-0prz' was the Original computer name, but I changed it during installation of 11.2. <Der folgende Versandweg wurde benutzt: <gmx and I think it is logic with that mistake. The message is in german - that is ok, I am german and so my system-language is german. ;-) There are no messages in /var/log/messages and .../mail Nepomuk does not run, because I was advised to keep it off to enlarge my system-speed (or better to keep system-speed - and so the whole system usable). (In reply to comment #5) > Hi Tobias, Hej Nobert, > Nepomuk does NOT run - this was told to me the keep the system running fast. Aarghh.... you _have_ to run Nepomuk, otherwise the distribution lists can't be resolved. Nepomuk is not slow, that's a stupid myth! Just disable the Strigi file indexer, that's the part which slows down your system by I/O access. Ciao, Tobias
