Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.5) OS: Linux When composing a message and wanting to select a recipient from the (only) address book, clicking Select next to the To: input will open a Select Recipient dialog which only lists previously harvested email addresses that were entered manually into to To: input. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Click New Message Click "Select..." next to the To: input fields Actual Results: The dialog that opens shows only harvested mails and names, no matter what selection you chose in the selection dropdown. Expected Results: The dialog would list contacts from my address book in either the "All" or "Default Address Book" selections in the dropdown. After upgrading from Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 10.04 (KDE 3.5 -> KDE 4.4.2), I seem to have the same *catastrophic* problem. I can add new contacts, but they do not show up when I type them into any of the Email To, CC, ... fields. In other words the new contacts and new email addresses I add to existing contacts show up in the contacts list, but are not found by the automatic typing search engine. This is a BIG problem for me.
With KDEPIM 4.6 beta 5 I don’t see this problem
Fixed in kdepim 4.6
