Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0) OS: Linux I several times met with situation when my contact modifications was lost completely. But this problem is difficult to reproduce. I think that issue is tied with suspending to RAM when KAddressbook works but not always. I'll watch it. (btw - KAddressbook/Akonadi brings me a lot of pain. There must be some M$ well-paid agent among you ;?D ) Reproducible: Sometimes OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-24-generic Compiler: cc

Hej, do you have any more information? I havn't discovered any loose of contacts yet since I use Akonadi. Please make sure you do not use any compatibility resources (something set up by the migration tool). So add an address book of type 'Personal Contacts', copy all contacts from your vCard file based address book into this one and remove the vCard file based one. The 'Personal Contacts' resource stores each contact in its own vCard file (prevents data lost much better!) and supports storage of contact groups. Ciao, Tobias
