Description Rolf Eike Beer 2010-08-14 18:57:09 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

I did several attempts to get my IMAP calendar working today but without success.

First it seems as the "Create New Addressbook" button is not working, I always had so use the one from the Actions menu to get the wizard at all.

Then I entered my account data. The "Name" field does not have the "automatically capitalize beginning of words" function that you find e.g. in the buildin contact application of the N900 while the email field has. This doesn't make any sense to me. The password field does not behave like the usual N900 password fields (i.e. show the just entered character for a short time).

I unchecked the "search on the internet" as it's my own mail server and there would not be anything useful anyway. I then switched to the next page, selected Kolab and switched to the next again. Then it tries to create the account. The "Details" button doesn't work usually, at least I did not get any details.

One single time the account wizard did not show up with the maemo style, but in something that looked like KDE3 style. That was the best experience to me :( In this case all fields were visible and even the details button worked. It showed me that "trying to create account" and then "account creation timed out" (or something similar). If I switched one page back and tried again it showed some other error message (not the timeout one, don't remember exactly which).

I tried it like 6 times on 2 days but still could not set up an account.

Reproducible: Didn't try
