Description Leonardo La Malfa 2010-08-14 16:40:55 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

Following the exchange at this post*, I realised why I had never been able to have my picture displayed at login screen, despite having followed the documentation closely, and having asked around on various fora.

Basically, the default theme for my distribution, Ethais, doesn't support this feature. Unfortunately, documentation fails to address this point. This might reflect badly on KDE and the distribution, for newcomers who keep trying ultimately just give up thinking "Linux is broken" or some such gross generalisation.

I think it would be helpful to add a couple of words for each theme in the Description under Copyright, saying something along the lines of "supports user images" or "doesn't support user images". Many thanks!
