Description Dimitrios Glentadakis 2010-08-14 07:39:26 UTC
Version: 0.11 (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

in this site: http://www.eleftherianews.gr/ when you click on the newspaper it opens a new tab in konqueror with the newspaper. The problem is that the area with the pdf integrated in konqueror is very very very small so you cannot read it.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Konqueror/KHtml guys, can you lend us a hand here? I'm not sure it's okular part not resizing or if it's KHTML not telling the okular part it should resize itself
Comment 3 Albert Astals Cid 2010-08-14 13:14:40 UTC
Actually Pino says it works in KDE 4.4.5 and Okular didn't do any change to our resizing code so i'd go for a KHTML bug.

Keep us Okular guys in the CC in case you need anything from us.

Yeah, this one is mostly my fault; I knew of this in theory, but wasn't aware that there was actually a website where it mattered... I "just" need to figure out why stuff doesn't paint right if I make it size properly.
Comment 5 Peter Faasse 2010-11-07 22:12:44 UTC
I've got the same, kde version = 4.5.3, distribution = slackware-derived

Perhaps a non-greek www-site is easier to navigate ;-) :

http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/56182/ATMEL/AT49F020.html

If you keep on clicking on the links that indicate that you want to see the pdf datasheet, you end up with a frame for a datacheet and a mini ('unusable') pdf-viewer embedded.

FYI: I build the kde-packages myself, so if you are helped by debug/tracing-activities, i might be able to help..

I confirm (with 4.6.5) the same bug is here too
Comment 7 Dimitrios Glentadakis 2013-05-30 04:12:05 UTC
I cannot reproduce it in kde 4.10.2
Comment 8 Andrea Iacovitti 2013-05-30 22:15:36 UTC
I can still reproduce this bug in both kde version 4.10.3 and master (next 4.11.0 version) following the steps described in comment #5.

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
