Andras, thx I found it now ;o)

I'll leave this bug open since on Linux (N900) this functionality is not yet implemented.

GUI is there in version 4:4.5~20101013.1185493-1maemo1.1185177, functionality not yet tested.

I am trying to test sending email from the N900 using notifications but I cannot find the 'Configure notification' functionality anymore.

Both the Settings menu (from the 'Actions' tab) and 'Configure notifications' functionality seems to be gone.

Does anyone know where the 'Configure notifications' functionality is?

I need it to test the 'Request Notification' functionality from the Composer which does not seem to work without setting that the user wishes to activate the notifications first.

The functionality is there on WinCE, but the config option in the application is missing (general config in the device settings for notifications works though), so hardly major.

I retested this today and here are better steps to reproduce:

- Write an email from your desktop computer to your Imap email address on the N900
- Click on the Composer Options menu and select 'Request Dispostion Notification'
- Click on 'Send' button
- Launch Kmail-mobile
- Click on your Imap inbox
- Click on the email you sent on the N900

I am guessing that like in Kmail desktop, a pop up 'Message Disposition Notification Request' dialogue should appear on the N900 with the following message: 'This message contains a request to return a notification about your reception of the message. You can either ignore the request or let KMail send a "denied" or normal response.'
It should have 3 buttons: 'ignore' 'Send''Denied'' ' and 'Send'

However, no dialogue appears on the N900 atm clicking on the email just allows the user to view the message body.

This is most probably due to the fact that I could not find the same functionality as in Kmail Desktop (In the Configure Kmail dialogue - Security - Message Disposition Notifications the send policy has to be set to Ask otherwise no pop up dialogue appear). See comments above.

I retested this bug today and I can still reproduce it.

I confirm that this bug is due to the fact that there is no way on the N900 to ask for the Disposition Notifications to be displayed.

(In Kmail Desktop, in the Configure Kmail dialogue - Security - Message Disposition Notifications the send policy has to be set to 'Ask' otherwise no pop up dialogue appear).

I've set up my Imap testing account on my desktop computer and with Kmail Desktop the notification works fine using the same emails.
