I should note that (just as for NapBon), only Plasma crashed -- not Kontact.

I got the same crash here (openSUSE 11.3, i586, KDE 4.5.0) when I moved some contacts from one IMAP addressbook to another.

Same action for me, but I was removing an akonadi calendar.  Plasma crashed and restarted.  No other applications crashed.

plasma-desktop (0.3) on KDE Platform 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1) using Qt 4.6.3

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Nothing, Plasma just disappeared 10 Minutes after booting. This happened already several times.

I'm using the GCalDaemon to synchronize an ical calendar file. This file is then used as Akonadi ressource. Interesting is, that Kontact is not crashing, only the Plasma desktop.

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
My crash happened after I was removing an appointment. 

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
When I added the appointment .xsesson-errors gave me
libakonadi Akonadi::EntityTreeModelPrivate::monitoredItemAdded: Got a stale notification for an item whose collection was already removed.

Then when I try to remove it I get an error from kontact that says
Unable to send the item '$ItemName'.

I was removing a calendar source from an akonadi resource in korganizer in kontact

Can confirm here: korganizer-4.6.0-2-mdv2011.0.i586 ; kdebase4-workspace-4.6.4-2-mdv2011.0.i586 on Mandriva Linux Cooker on a Pentium 4 2.4 GHz:

My primary machine is a desktop machine with a:

    Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz CPU.
    2.5 GB of RAM.
    An ATI Radeon HD 2600 card.
    One 160 GB Hard-disk and two smaller ones of 80 GB or so.
    A 19״ LCD Screen by ViewSonic.
    A standard built-in AC’97 sound-card.

Please fix this bug.
