Description Alejandro Nova 2010-08-13 07:09:16 UTC
Version: 1.4.0 (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

After retrieving a folder with ~3 GB of mail, ~15,000 mails, with some attachments, the akonadi_imap_resource process is using 487 MB of RAM and doesn't move from there. Also, CPU usage for it spikes quickly when it checks for new mail.

The memory usage is kept after reboots, and grows slowly, indicating possible memory leaks.

Tested with Akonadi/KDE-PIM 4.4.92.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the sample data.
2. Watch the memory consumption and CPU usage skyrocket.

I need further instructions to debug this. This could be a hellish combo of god-knows-what, but I'm filing this to get instructions and to track the issue properly.
